Marge Campbell, 87
Marjorie A. (Marge) Campbell (Vandegrift), 87, died peacefully with her family at her side on April 6, 2005.
A brief "Celebration of Life" ceremony was held at her most recent residence, Plantation Place Assisted Living in Boise on Saturday, April 9. She was interred with her late husband at Cloverdale Memorial Park in a private family ceremony. Arrangements were under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
She was born July 5, 1912, at Sterling City, Calif., to Demas M. and Anna G. Vandegrift. She attended grade school and high school in Mountain Home and graduated from the U of I in Moscow, majoring in Education.
Marge was a long-time resident of and taught school in Mountain Home from 1952-1975.
Marge was a member of Alpha Phi International Fraternity, PEO Chapter W., Delta Kappa Gamma and St. James Episcopal Church, of Mountain Home.
She married Clarence C. (Teke) Campbell on Sept. 6, 1934, in Berkeley, Calif., and raised their four children in Mountain Home.
After retiring, she and her husband traveled extensively and spent winters in their home in Hemet, Calif. They also had a home in Boise and in McCall where they enjoyed many summers.
She is survived by: four children, James G. Campbell of McCall, Carol Sue Rubenstein of LaPine, Ore., Judith Anna Smith of Boise, and David E. Campbell of Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Clarence C. Campbell, died July 18, 1989.
