Glenna West, 82
Glenna (Davison) West, 82, of Mountain Home, died March 27, 2005, in Nampa, after an extended illness.
Services will be held on Monday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church, 315 S. 4th East St., Mountain Home. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Prairie Cemetery, in Prairie. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home.
Glenna was born on Jan. 6, 1923, to Charlie and Sophia Makinson in Halfway, Ore.
When she was school age the family moved to Emmett and later moved to Prairie.
She married to Harry Davison on May 11, 1939. They shared a partnership with her husband's two brothers in both a sawmill business and also in ranching. Harry died in 1982.
She later married Raymond West on March 3, 1991 and they resided in Mountain Home.
Her family noted that "Mom loved the Lord and the Bible and so enjoyed singing hymns and old songs. She loved all her children and grandchildren and loved to tell them stories and sing songs to them. She also enjoyed riding horses."
She is survived by: her husband, Ray, of Mountain Home, and two children, Donna Davison of Nampa, and Stanley Davison of Indian Valley, Idaho; two grandchildren, and one great granddaughter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Davison, and a daughter, Sheron Cheney. She was the youngest of six children who all preceded her in death.
