Nona Jones, 91

Nona Verle Frost Jones, 91, of Bruneau, died March 27, 2005.

She had been at Boise Samaritan Village Care Center for the last eight months.

Private graveside services will be held at Bruneau Cemetery on Thursday, March 31, at noon. Arrangements are under the direction of Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel in Boise.

Nona Jones was born Aug. 30, 1913, in Bruneau, to Jesse and Ethel (Dunning) Groves.

Her grandfather, Dow Dunning, was a legislative representative from Owyhee County. As a child she loved traveling with him to Boise and staying in the Idanha Hotel.

Nona is survived by: her children and their families, Richard Frost, Neil Frost, Dale Frost, Shirley Moon, James Frost, Mary Christofferson, Linda Smith, Keith Frost and Teresa Lawrence, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rollo W. Frost, and William E. Jones, and her son, Allen Jesse Frost, as well as all of her siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations or remembrances be made to Boise Samaritan Village, Harbor Care.
