Betty Clark, 95
Elizabeth (Betty) Klassen Clark, 95, died March 18, 2005, at the Mountain Home hospital.
Memorial services were conducted Tuesday at the First Congregational Church in Mountain Home. Inurnment will be held in Boonville, Calif., at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home.
Elizabeth (Betty) was born Feb. 24, 1910, in Herbert, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Diedrich and Aganetha (Unrau) Klasseri. She came from a family of three brothers and three sisters.
She married Fredrick W. Clark on Feb. 10, 1945 and moved with him to California. Her husband, Fred, died in 1978. She moved to Idaho in 1991 to live with her older daughter, where she lived until her death.
Betty enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking bread and cookies. She also enjoyed camping and traveling and telling stories about her family.
She worked many years as a foster grandmother, for special needs children in California. When she moved to Mountain Home she began volunteering at the VA hospital in Boise.
Betty is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth and her husband, Pedro Celkya, of Mountain Home, and Ethel and her husband, Wendell Hammons of Gardnerville, Nev.; one sister, Agnes Waldeck of Ontario, Canada, and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and two sisters.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Idaho Youth Ranch, 385 N. 2nd East St., Mountain Home, ID 83647.
