Irene Broadbent, 86

Irene Broadbent, 86, formerly of Mountain Home, died Feb. 12, 2005, in Torrance, Calif.

Born Sept. 1, 1918, in Mountain Home to Pearle and Dr. Thomas E. Evans, she attended elementary school and high school in Mountain Home.

She served in the WACs during WWII.

She is survived by: her sons, Gary Broadbent of Spokane, Wash., Thomas and Barbara Broadbent of Beavercreek, Ore., Francis David and his wife, Sharon Broadbent of Lominta, Calif.; a daughter, Joanne and her husband, Mark Jordan of Citrus Heights, Calif.; sister-in-law Marjorie Evans of Mountain Home, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Emry Evans, and a sister, Blodwen Porter.
