Charley Floyd, 57
Charley Ray Floyd, 57, of Mountain Home, died Tuesday Feb. 8, 2005, at a Boise Hospital.
Memorial Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2276 in Mountain Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home.
Charley was born Jan. 26, 1948, in Bradleyville, Mo., the son of Leon and Thelma (Maggard) Floyd. Charley grew up on a farm with his family.
He moved out west where he married Pamela Dewitt and they had two children together.
In 1980 Charley decided to move to Mountain Home where he met and married Susan Holmes.
Charley worked in the fertilizer and chemical industry from the late '60s to July 2003 when he retired from Western Farm Service.
Charley was an avid outdoorsman. His real joy was being in the mountains riding his horse, his family said, adding that "Charley had a tremendous impact on a lot of peoples lives as a father, a husband, a mentor, and as a good friend. Charley will be dearly missed by all."
Charley is survived by: his two children, Michelle Hutson, of Nampa, and Todd Floyd, of Mountain Home; four grandchildren; his parents, Leon and Thelma Floyd of Texas; two brothers, Randy Floyd of Arkansas and Rick Floyd of Texas; two sisters, Janice Hedgepeth of Missouri and Carol Evans of Texas.
