David Thomas, 49
David Litton Thomas, 49, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2004 at his home, with his wife, Charissa, by his side.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home.
David was born on Nov. 27, 1955, in Mountain Home, the son of Litton Thomas and Idonna Ferbrache Thomas.
David graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1973.
Growing up in Mountain Home David helped his brother work on his race car, which began his love for mechanic work for the following 25 years. David worked at Performance Chevrolet in Mountain Home as a mechanic for nine years.
On July, 24, 2000, Pioneer Day, David married Charissa Dawn Bowley at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In 2001 David starting working for Mircon but due his health problems he had to stop working.
If David wasn't working on cars, he could be found working with wood, making boxes for family members and friends. His other love was fishing, and being outdoors with his wife, Charissa.
"He always found ways to help people and friends out no matter how big or small the task was," his family said, adding, "He was the most loving and caring man to his family and many friends."
David is survived by: his wife, Charissa, of Mountain Home; one daughter, Mandi Kunkle, of Nampa; his father, Litton Thomas, of Mountain Home, and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers.
