Peter Porter, 48
Peter A. Porter, 48, of Mountain Home died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at his home in Mountain Home, after a battle with cancer.
His wife, Suk, and his mother, Joyce, were by his side.
Funeral mass were celebrated Saturday, Dec. 18, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Mountain Home. Arrangements were under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home.
Peter was born Sept. 28, 1956, in Saranac Lake, N.Y., to Sherwin (Bud) and Joyce Porter. He was educated in Saranac Lake, N.Y.
After graduation Peter joined the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Osan, South Korea, Spokane, Wash., Minot, N.D., and Mountain Home.
After 21 years in the Air Force Peter retired as a master sergeant and decided to settle in Mountain Home. He then went to work at the Idaho States Correctional Institution and was a food service supervisor for over 7 years.
Peter and his wife, Suk, enjoyed, hunting and fishing, as both of them loved being in the outdoors together. "Peter will be missed by all that knew him," his family said.
Peter is survived by: his wife, Suk, of Mountain Home; his mother, Joyce Porter; and two brothers, Keith and Kevin, of New York.
He was preceeded in death by his father and both sets of grandparents.
