Ducky Killeen, 68
Nina "Ducky" D. Killeen, 68, of Mountain Home, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at a Boise hospital.
At her request no services will be held. Cremation is under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Ducky was born in Bath, England, on Sept. 21, 1935, the daughter of Richard Theodore and Elizabeth May (Presley) Scarrott. She finished school and worked at a sugar factory in Bristol.
In 1952, Ducky met her husband, Jim Killeen, at a church dance while he was stationed with the Air Force at Brize Norton RAF. On Oct. 2, 1954, they married at Saint Johns Church in Bath England.
Ducky and Jim then left and went to Brooklyn, NY, where Jim was raised. They then went to Madrid, Spain, for three years and then to Mountain Home, where she spent over 44 years working and raising her children.
Ducky worked at Safeway and the El Rancho Restaurant where she had many happy times, her family said. "Ducky loved to go to yard sales, where she met many of her friends there, she made many wedding and birthday cakes for friends and family and their children."
Ducky is survived by: her husband, Jim Killeen; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Dave, brother Charles and older sister Flo and many nieces, nephews cousins and their families in England.
She was preceded in death by her three children, Donna, Jimmy and Michael, her parents Elizabeth and Theodore, sisters Elsie and Winnie and brother Stan.
