Winston Canady, 75
Winston Canady, 75, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, after fighting a long battle of Mylo-Fibrosis.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, and services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Mountain Home Elks Lodge. Burial will following at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home.
Winston was born May 4, 1929, in Oklahoma, to James and Minnie Canady.
Winston was in the Army during the Korean War, and retired from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1985.
"Winston lived his life to the fullest, hunting, fishing, snowmobling golfing, flying, and camping with his family," his family said, adding, "Winston was a loving man and full of advice and wisdon -- he will be missed by friends and family."
Winston is survived by: daughter Teresa Delp and her husband, Cordell, of Mountain Home; brother Bill Craft of Twin Falls; son Edward Canady of Modesto, Calif.; son Danny Cone, Sr., of Isleton, Calif.; son Danny Cone, Jr., and his wife, Jessie, of Kuna; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Winston was proceeded in death by his wife, Rose Lee Canady, both parents, his sister, Norma Craft, a brother, Charles Craft, a son, Jerry Cone, and a daughter-in-law, Marica Furman.
