Herb Mink, 77
Herbert "Herb" Mink, 77 of Bruneau, died Saturday, July 17, 2004, at King Hill.
Memorial services were held July 24, 2004 at the American Legion Hall in Bruneau, with Rev. P. Bergh officiating. Burial was on Sunday, July 25, in the Bear Cemetery, next to his son Myron, at Bear, Idaho. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Demaray Funeral Service in Gooding.
Herb was born on July 1, 1927, in Weiser, the son of Ira Fitzhugh Mink and Dorothy Bradley Mink,
He graduated from Weiser High School in 1945.
Herb was a cowboy all his life and was proud of the fact. He worked for many ranches during his life. He made his home in Bruneau, retired and lived on his son-in-law's ranch next to his grandchildren until his death.
On June 1, 1950, Herb married Jean Thomason of Cambridge,. They lived in New Meadows and Cambridge. They moved to Mountain Home in 1966 where they lived until their divorce in 1974.
He is survived by: his three children, Brad Mink of Carrollton, Texas, Roxic Bossenberger of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Dixie Black of Bruneau; his daughter-in-law, Pam Davis; his two sisters, Nadine Purcell of Weiser, ID and Marlene Norman of Longview, Wash.; a sister-in-law, Joann Mink of Payette; and five grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by: his parents; a sister, Carol Thyhurst; a brother, Edward Mink; and his son, Myron Mink.
