Elaine Stock, 86
Elaine Field Stock, 86, of Boise, formerly of Mountain Home, died of natural causes Tuesday, June 20, 2004.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24, at the Duncan Lane LDS Chapel in Boise. Burial followed at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services were under direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel.
Elaine was born June 1, 1918, to John Harvey Field and Electra Pinnock Field at Grant, Idaho. She attended grade school at Grant and high school at Midway, near Lewisville, Idaho.
She married Keith Stock in 1940 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She began married life in Newdale, Idaho, where the couple was involved in farming and operating a welding and repair shop. Keith later got into heavy construction, which took them to many locations in the Northwest. They lived 20 years at Connell, Wash., and 8 years at Clarkston, Wash. They moved to Mountain Home in 1980 where they lived for 15 years and then moved to Boise.
"Elaine was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother," her family said. "She took great pride in her home and garden and was always willing to give of what she had. She has always enjoyed helping others and giving service wherever needed."
She was active all her life in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She, along with her husband, served many years as temple workers in the Boise Temple.
She is survived by: her two daughters, Bonnie of Boise, and Deon Hendricks and her husband, ElRay Hendricks, also of Boise; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ramona Sayer of Idaho Falls; and a brother, Harvey Field and his wife, Donna, of Grant.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995.
