Eamil Stoecker, 70
Eamil (Sonny) Jordan Stoecker, 70, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at the Elmore Medical Center Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, from 5-7 p.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Eamil was born on Jan. 8, 1934, to Lenora and Eamil (Red) Stoecker in Waverly, Mo. He grew up in Waverly.
Eamil loved trains as his father and grandfather both worked at the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He rode the train daily.
Eamil was a proud member of the United States Marines, in which he enlisted in 1953.
Eamil married Rae Ann Fisher on March 25, 1955, in Denver, Colo.
He went to watch and clock-making school in Kansas City, M0.
Eamil moved his family to Mountain Home in 1968, where he and Rae Ann bought Rowett Jewelers. They remodeled Watsons Men's Store on 2nd Street and then moved the jewelry store to that location, which is now Stoeckers Jewelers.
Eamil was a member of Jaycees and Lions Club, a member of DAV, the Mountain Home Marine Corps League and a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
Eamil enjoyed his family, boating, camping, motorcycles, story telling and old movies.
Eamil is survived by: his wife, Rae Ann; son Michael and wife Brenda, all of Mountain Home; son Raylin and wife Ronda of Port Orchard, Wash.; son-in-law Chuck Monaghan of Mountain Home; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christi, and both parents.
