Flossie Cullen, 92
Flossie E. Cullen, 92 of Grand View, died Saturday night, April 24, 2004, at Holly Nursing Center, Hospice Unit in Nampa.
Memorial services will be held Friday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at Knight Community Church. Pastor Paul Ryan will officiate. Arrangements are by Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel.
Flossie was born Dec. 20, 1911, at Bryant Station, Tenn. She was the oldest of five children.
She spent a short time in Ardmore, Okla., before coming to Idaho where she met and married Fletcher Cullen on May 31, 1938, at Grand View, making their home at the Cullen Ranch on Shoofly Creek.
After selling the ranch, they moved to River Place in Grand View and in later years she moved to a house in town for retirement, enjoying activities with her friends and family.
She raised two daughters, loved to can, sew, and be a homemaker, her family noted.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nelma Love and her husband Bill, of Meridian, Vada Alley of Nampa; two grandsons, one granddaughter; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary Becker of Geneseo, Ill., and Gladys Lentz of Antioch, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Cullen, in 1983, one brother, Clerbert, and one sister, Nema.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Knight Community Church, Rimrock Senior Center, or Grand View Ambulance Service.
