Curtis Sargent, 39
Curtis Edward Sargent, 39, of Grand View, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at the VA hospice in Boise.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 25, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 24, and on Thursday, March 25, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel.
Curtis was born March 17, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio, to Edward Nance and Shirley (Susil) Sargent.
He went to school in Frazeysburg, Ohio and joined the U.S. Air Force on March 19, 1984. Curtis was stationed at several different bases world-wide working for the Air Force as an aircraft jet engine mechanic and logistics management specialist. Curtis served 20 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard, attaining the rank of technical sergeant.
He worked full time for Bennett Cattle Co. of Grand View.
Curtis enjoyed radio-controlled aircraft, music, plastic models and living in Idaho. He was a member of the American Veterans (AmVets).
Curtis is survived by: his daughter Laura Sargent and her fiancee, Thomas Kivlehan, both of Grand View; son Eric Sargent of Adamsville, Ohio; mother Shirley (Susil) Sargent of Grand View; father Edward Nance of Columbus, Ohio; grandfather Joseph Susil of Frazeysburg, Ohio; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Petrella of Columbus, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather.
