Cecil Irving, 59
Cecil Dale Irving, 59, of Glenns Ferry, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 27, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Glenns Ferry. Arrangements are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 26, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Cecil was born Feb. 25, 1945, in Gooding, to Oral and Sylvia Irving. He went to school in King Hill.
Cecil worked for the railroad and was a foreman at the time of his medical retirement.
Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, shopping and yard sales. He owned his own fishing tackle shop out of his home where he enjoyed making fishing tackle. His greatest love was being with his grandchildren, his family noted.
Cecil is survived by: his wife, Carol Irving; son Dale Irving of Glenns Ferry; daughters Dena Marie Exeter and her husband, Larry, of Pocatello, Luana Dianne Miley and her husband, Dwight, of Pamona, Calif., and Veronica Ann Mason of Nampa; son Marvin Vincent Evans and his wife, Deborah, of Hesperia, Calif.; mother Lois Irving of Glenns Ferry; brother Art Irving and his wife, Velva, of Boise; sisters Hazel Rush and her husband, Dave, and Betty Jean Shurtz and her husband, Ross, all of Glenns Ferry; half sisters Jackie and her husbandm Garym of Utah, and Carol; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, one stepbrother and one half sister.
