Elinor Cameron, 69
Elinor L. Cameron, 69, of Reedsport, Ore., formerly of Mountain Home, died March 3, 2004.
She was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Deshler, Neb., to William and Frieda (Braun) Garrels. She married Richard "Dick" Cameron in Jerome, Idaho, on Feb. 12, 1953. They lived in Mountain Home between 1951-1974 while Dick was in the Air Force and Elinor worked as a real estate salesperson.
They moved to the Reedsport area in 1974, where she was an active member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed reading, and was an avid duplicate bridge player and life master.
She is survived by: her husband, Richard "Dick" Cameron of Reedsport; sons Dennis Cameron of Anthony, N.M., Douglas Cameron of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Bruce Cameron of Eugene, Ore; daughter Kelly Dial of Eugene; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; sisters Alice Abercrombie of Visalia, Calif., Evelyn Kulm of Quincy, Wash., and Marion Cram of Richland, Wash; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Val Radney, in 1995.
The family has suggested memorial contributions may be made to any reading program c/o Highland Elementary School.
