Mary Reutzel, 70

Mary Evelyn Reutzel, 70, of Mountain Home, died March 5, 2004, at her home.

Cremation will be handled by Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel. At her request, no services will be held.

She was born in Guin, Ala., on Feb. 3, 1934, to Henry and Leona Shellnet. She grew up primarily in California.

She was married for 33 years to Marvin Reutzel.

For many years she was head of the janitorial services at the base hospital.

She was a member of the Elkettes of Mountain Home.

She loved fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She won many medals during her lifetime for her archery skills.

She is survived by: her husband, Marvin; her three sons, Leland Valdez and his wife, Dawn; Lindy Valdez and his wife, Cherie; and Lyle Valdez and his wife, Evelyn; daughter Kenya Stewart; and six grandchildren; and one surviving sister.
