Bruce E. Fackrell, 67
Bruce E. Fackrell, 67, of Mountain Home, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the LDS Stake Center in Mountain Home, with Bishop David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Summers Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, Mountain Home from noon until 12:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
Bruce was born July 1, 1936, in Caldwell, Idaho, the son of David K. and Elsie (White) Fackrell. He attended school in Adrian, Ore., and worked on the family farm before joining the Marines at the age of 19. After his discharge from the Marines, he went to work on various farms.
Bruce received his GED and he and his first wife operated motels. He later joined the union as a laborer at various jobs in Oregon and throughout the United States.
When he wasn't working, Bruce enjoyed his horses and fishing.
Bruce was a member of the LDS Church, the Mountain Home, the Senior Citizens, and was a member of LUNA Labor Union.
He is survived by: his wife, Althes of Mountain Home; his four sons, Donovan Fackrell and wife Laura of Mountain Home, Adam Fackrell and wife Lillie of Oklahoma, Bruce Fackrell, Jr. of Washington, and Ellis Fackrell of Oregon; his daughter, Trudy Sherbet and husband Keith of Boise; his brothers, Bob Fackrell and wife Dells of Mountain Home, Earl Fackrell and wife Joyce of Mountain Home, Ralph Fackrell and wife Debbie of Emmett, and Richard Fackrell and wife Jill of Caldwell; and his sister, Mildred Lawrence and husband Dallas of Caldwell. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
