Ruth Hedrick, 92

Ruth Bernice Hedrick, 92, of Boise, formerly of Bruneau, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 7, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Bruneau. Burial followed at the Bruneau Cemetery. Arrangements were by Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel.

Ruth was born July 19, 1911, in Bruneau, to William I. and Mary (Turmes) Turner. She attended St. Teresa's Academy in Boise and went on to the University of Idaho and Albion Normal School where she received her teaching certification.

Ruth taught school the majority of her working years in Nevada and Idaho, including St. Joseph's School, Garfield Elementary, and St. Teresa's Academy.

Ruth was a member of the Catholic Church. Her family said that she loved to garden and enjoyed reading, but most of all she loved being with her family.

Ruth is survived by: her two sons, Jim Hedrick of Boise and Jerry Hedrick of Nampa; her five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, William C. Hedrick in 1952.
