Jim Grimmett, 76
James "Jim" W. Grimmett, 76, of Mountain Home, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at a Mountain Home care center.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mountain Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel.
Jim was born May 23, 1927, in Moreland, Idaho, the son of Gordon Edmond and Vera Lettie (Thomsen) Grimmett.
He married Marion Elizabeth Clark on Dec. 31, 1949, in Pocatello.
Jim was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mountain Home 4th Ward. He enjoyed camping, hunting, softball, motorcycles, fishing, water skiing and spending time with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by: his wife, Marion Grimmett of Mountain Home; daughter Linda and her husband, Bob Wortham; son James and his wife, Joann Grimmett of Mountain Home; daughter Ann and her husband, Jim Dodge of Lebanon, Ore.; son Joe and his wife, Cindy Grimmett of South Jordan, Utah; son Wayne and his wife, Marie Grimmett, of Columbus, Ind.; son Walley and his wife, Lola Grimmett, of Fairfield, Calif.; son Scott and his wife, Nancy Grimmett, of Prattville, Ala.; daughter Donna and her husband, Phil Ash, of Twin falls; sister Karolyn Lininger of Boise; brother Kent Lana Grimmett of Nampa, 34 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers. Hugh and Dee, and a grandson, Andrew Grimmett.
