Dot was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Felixstowe, England. In 1960, she married Thomas Waters and subsequently she gave birth to two sons, Alastair Neil and Ian Stuart Waters. The young family moved from England to Auckland, New Zealand, in 1974.
In 1976, they settled in Mountain Home, where her twin sister and her husband had been living.
After her divorce, Dot moved to Meridian and finally to Boise, where she worked for Summers Funeral Home, First Health, and the last several years for Marsh.
"Dorothy fought a tremendous battle with her disease, never giving up in spite of her overwhelming obstacles," her family said, adding, "her greatest pleasures were her sons, grandson, and her beloved cat, Stubbs. Dot enjoyed gardening and walking. Dot was loved by all and will be greatly missed."
Dot is survived by: her sons, Alastair and Ian; her sister and brother-in-law, Olive and Bob Kipp of Boise; one grandson; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Harold Webber of England; two aunts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
