Charles F. Tom, 65, died Dec. 13, 2003, in his favorite chair in front of the TV, with his dog by his side.
Charles was born on the Hopi Indian Reservation in New Mexico, on April 1,1938.
He came to Idaho in the early 1960s,finally making his home in Hammett, working for Joe Black and Sons, as a ranch hand. He was known for his fence building.
He retired several years ago, making his home at Oasis Ranch Motel, where he lived with his dog and "a passel of cats."
He enjoyed a good practical joke as long as it wasn't played on him. He had a soft spot in his heart for children and strays.
He leaves behind his good friends the Blacks,John Davis and his trusted dog, Blackie.
