Clyde Harlan, 76
Clyde S. Harlan, 76, of Glenns Ferry, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at a Boise hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 5-7 p.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 11, at the VFW Hall in Glenns Ferry. Burial will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Clyde was born June 4, 1927, in Cushing, Okla., the son of Alma Marritt and Clyde Harlan.
He joined the Air Force and was honorably discharged on May 1970, after receiving several medals, which included in 1954 the Outstanding Unit Award when he was with the 1502nd Air Transport Wing, Good Conduct Medals, Expeditionary Service and National Defense.
Clyde was a hard worker who always had time for his children, becoming involved in their sports activities, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, his family noted. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, working in his yard and traveling in his motor home.
Clyde is survived by: his daughters, Shirley Spaulding and husband Tim of El Dorado, Calif., Sue Works and husband Larry of Glenns Ferry, son Tom Harlan and wife Valerie of Los Angeles, Calif., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his parents and two brothers.
