JaQuita Rodrigues, 53
JaQuita Rodrigues, 53, of Mountain Home, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mountain Home. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery.
JaQuita was born March 22, 1950, in Black Oak, Ark., the daughter of Billy Joe and Viva (Robertson) Wright. She grew up in Pierre, S.D., and graduated from Gustine High School in California in 1968.
In 1971, JaQuita married George Rodrigues in Turlock, Calif.
George was in the Air Force and they lived in several different bases throughout the world. After George retired they settled in Mountain Home in 1983.
JaQuita enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy, ceramics, quilting, gardening and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the LDS Church in Mountain Home, a volunteer for the Women Abuse Shelter and she loved her job at the Idaho Tax Commission.
JaQuita is survived by: her husband, George Rodrigues; daughter Margrite Lancaster of Tooele, Utah; son George Rodrigues, Jr., of Mountain Home; daughter Darci Woodruff of Twin Falls; son David Rodrigues and daughter Danielle Bradley of Mountain Home; daughter Candi McBroom of Texas, daughter Heidi Smith and son Anthony Rodrigues of Mountain Home; daughter Amber Rodrigues of Laramie, Wyo., and son Michael Rodrigues of Mountain Home, 16 grandchildren; her parents, Billy Joe and Viva Mae Wright of Gustine, Calif., brother B.J. Wright of Tyler, Texas, and sisters Ginger Morgan of Mountain Home, and LaJuana Graham, Sherrill Barnett and Fern Wear of Gustine, Calif.
Memorials may be made in JaQuita's name to the Idaho Independent Bank Memorial Fund for Leukemia Research, 310 American Legion Blvd, Mountain Home, ID 83647.
