Milo Carpenter, 80
Milo Carpenter, 80, of Mountain Home, died Nov. 7, 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Milo was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Exeter, Calif., the eldest son of William Fred and Iva Pauline Carpenter.
He enlisted in the Coast Guard during WWII. He spent time on the East Coast, in Australia, and saw action off the coast of Gibraltar before being honorably discharged after the war.
Milo worked for many years as a construction welder and boilermaker in various locations throughout the northwest.
He is survived by: his wife, Lillian; five children, Bill Carpenter, Kathylee Drew, Dale Drew, Dixon Carpenter, and Joy Drew, nineteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren (and four more on the way).
