Curt Strickland, 59
Curtis "Curt" E. Strickland, 59, of Bruneau, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, in Mountain Home.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Bruneau American Legion Hall. Cremation was under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.
Curt was born Oct. 16, 1943, in Boise, to Grant and Jodie Strickland. He was a rancher in the Bruneau valley all of his life.
"He loved animals, kids and music," his family said, adding, "Curt had a nickname for everyone. We will all miss his joking, quick wit and laughter."
Curt was a member of the Bruneau Rodeo Association, Idaho Cattlemen's Association, Bruneau 4-H, Bruneau Boosters, Mountain Home Bowling Association, Bruneau Cemetery Board, Tomahawk Gathering and Stock Tank Racing Team.
Curt is survived by: his mother, Jodie; brother Dick and his wife, Linda; sister Barbara Cristobal and her husband, John; sister Patty Pinkston and her husband, Bob; five nieces, one nephew, several grand nieces and nephews and numerous extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Bruneau Quick Response Unit or the Bruneau Rodeo Association.
