Ida Groefsema, 60
Ida May Groefsema, 60, a former Mountain Home resident, died on Monday, Aug. 18, 2003.
A celebration of her life was held Aug. 26, 2003, at Puyallup United Methodist Church in Puyallup, Wash. A private inurnment was held in Mountain Home at the Mountain View Cemetery.
She was born July 26, 1943, in Boise, the oldest dauqhter of J. Harvey and Esther Martin Groefsema. She was raised in Mountain Home and graduated from Mountain Home High School with the class of 1961.
She spent the last 17 years livinq in Puyallup, Wash., working for Pacific Weldinq Supplies, Inc.
"Besides family, she had many friends and co-workers who will truly miss her," her family said, adding, "she was devoted to her church and her country and always stood for what she believed in. Ida shared her joy of children through her nieces and nephews and their children. She also shared her passion for sports, especially the Huskies and Mariners, with her friends."
She is survived by: her mother, Esther, three brothers and sisters, 11 nieces and nephews and 24 great-grand nieces and nephews.
