Millie Turner, 91
Mildred (Millie) Alberta Turner, 91, of Mountain Home, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at the Elmore Medical Center Nursing Home.
At her request no services will be held. Cremation is under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
Millie was born Jan. 13, 1912, in Grants Pass, Ore., the daughter of Leslie A. and Elizabeth (Ogden) Tuttle.
She lived most of her youth and working years in California before marrying Ralph E. Turner. They settled in Mountain Home in 1966, where Ralph opened Turner's Shoe Service.
Millie had been variously a cosmetologist, chinchilla pelter/tanner and grower/owner of a small Iris business in California and African Violets in Mountain Home until the age of 75. She came by her "Green Thumb" through her father and uncle, both nurserymen.
Millie is survived by: her daughter, Lynn Lindstrom of Mountain Home, granddaughters, Ronda Petetson of California, Erika Sharp of Virginia, grandson, Jon Lindstrom of Nevada and great-grandson, Erik Peterson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Ruth.
