Bob Moose, 76
Robert (Bob) Lee Moose, 76, of Boise, formerly of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home. Burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery.
Bob was born Jan. 16, 1927, in Royal Oak, Mich., the son of Everett and Elizabeth (Butcher) Moose. He was schooled in Michigan and entered the U.S. Navy in 1944. Bob was honorably discharged in 1946.
Bob married Shirley Martin on Oct. 16, 1948, in Highland Park, Mich.
He worked for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier in Birmingham, Mich., and retired in 1972. After retiring Bob and Shirley moved to Washington where he worked with his brother in the construction business. They then moved in 1973 to Ontario, Ore., where he worked as a line operator for Ore-Ida Foods.
In 1995 they moved to Mountain Home.
Bob enjoyed camping, fishing and working in his workshop. Bob was a member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the VFW, a Teamster, DAV and the Moose Lodge.
Bob is survived by: his wife, Shirley Moose of Boise; daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Miller and her husband, Steven, of Twin Falls; one granddaughter; a brother, Raymond Moose of Kent, Wash., and a sister, Mary Bergley of Aberdeen, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David.
