O.J. McGrath, 80
O.J. McGrath, 80, of Mountain Home, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at a Boise hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2276 in Mountain Home. Cremation is under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.
O.J. was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Mountain Home, the son of William and Amanda (Labby) McGrath.
O.J. served during WWII in the 389th Bomber Wing. He was honorably discharged in 1945.
On Dec. 10, 1945, he married Helen Lockman.
O.J. was a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1983.
O.J. enjoyed being in the outdoors and his grandchildren and young people.
O.J. was a member of the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #2276 of Mountain Home and the American Legion Post #26 of Mountain Home.
O.J. is survived by: his son, Gary McGrath and his wife, Imelda, and sister Pauline Woodruff all of Mountain Home, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen.
