Clyde J. Winters, 72
Clyde J. Winters, formerly of Glenns Ferry, died June 9, 2003, at his home in Grass Valley, Calif., after a four-year battle with cancer.
At his request, no services will be held. He was born in Gooding on Sept. 14, 1930, to Jess and Blanche Holloway Winters.
Clyde grew up in Glenns Ferry, graduating from high school in 1948.
He attended the University of Idaho in Moscow and continued his education by receiving a Fulbright Scholarship to study in Europe.
Upon returning to the United States he worked in medical research on a government grant in the South Pacific and lived in Hawaii for 12 years.
Returning to the mainland he was with Audio Digest of Glendale, Calif., a medical reference organization. When he retired he moved to Grass Valley, Calif. He is survived by: a sister, Betty Wise of Glenns Ferry, one nephew and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
