Thank you Veterans
We were running low on space this week and I really wanted to squeeze in the history piece that Amy found since it had been so long since we had one, plus it seemed very timely for the week of Veterans Day, so I kind of nixed my editorial for this week. I did want to take a moment to say thank you to all of our service men and women. Veteran’s Day will be over by the time you read this, but truly that does not matter, because I thank you for your commitment to our freedom and for your sacrifices every day. Thank you all.
I also wanted to take a moment and say thank you to the students and staff of MHHS, your assembly keeps getting better each and every year. I overheard someone sitting behind me saying that they had never heard the Jazz Choir sound better then you did on Monday. Everyone did a great job at their roles during the ceremony.
To the whole student body, I have attended a lot of assemblies in your gymnasium over the years and I can see how rowdy you can get upon entering and exiting. The reverence you all show during the Veteran’s Day Assembly makes me get a little teary eyed each time. You and the staff at the school should be so proud. I know I am proud of each and everyone of you. Thank you for taking the time to honor our veterans in such a respectful manner.
