A look at who has raised the debt ceiling the most, by the percentages. Once again I plan on not answering comments unless asked to.
While the number 16 trillion sounds spectacular, and it is, when one looks at the percentages since we started following supply side economics a different picture emerges. I believe the percentages reveal facts that many would just as soon ignore.
Make no mistake, whenever a new program is proposed, or a tax cut is proposed, or taking this Republic into armed conflict, it must be paid for, and issuing new debt DOES NOT pay for it. The percentage of debt vs GDP has reached untenable levels and must be addressed. While the time is long past to assign blame to any one party or president, this discussion ultimately rests on economic theories and and their effect on the debt. Which theory has increased the debt by the largest percentage?
