When the end is near, the final chapter

My Mother Evelyn Pratt, a veteran of WW2, passed from this earth this morning. She went in peace and with dignity. Her ashes will be interred in the Veterans Cemetery as they should be. My many thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

First of all, I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing, it is not ever easy no matter how peaceful. A dear old friend of mine (Korean War Vet, 80 years old) recently passed away very peacefully after living a full long life. At the time there were alot of tears until his funeral and burial at the Veterans Cemetery. There was a sense of peace the moment we got out of the cars, none that I have ever felt in any other cemetery. You made a fine choice for her.

I am so sorry for your loss. In the days to come, I hope that the good memories that you have shared with your mother will comfort you.

I hope that she told you great stories of the Military. They would make good blogs when you feel up to it.

I lost my dad two years ago. Very hard even when you expect it.
