Jobs coming back??

I caught a short bit of the video clip, but the broadband up here is really slow. Here is the link for those of you with broadband that is fast

I found the last two by googling  "overseas jobs coming back". Give it a try. I went through 2 pages of links and not a single one from the likes of Fox News. Coincidence or politics?

Seems like good news from come from all sources. Jobs are starting to come back and the reasons are detailed in these 3 links. More jobs coming back will create more employment, which will create more demand which will create the need for more supply which will create more jobs. Funny thing is that none of the companies that are coming back even mentioned the words U.S.  taxes or regulations.

The only reason I'm doing this blog is not because I'm an Obama supporter (which I'm not), a left liberal (which I'm not), but because good news needs to be spread.

Though the video was herky jerky up here, I thought I heard something said that sounded like There's a value added to made in the U.S.A.

Either way, it does look like there are jobs coming back and the tax and regulatory structure hasn't changed. It is simply thanks to our "friends" at OPEC, and our "friends" the striking Chinese  workers, it is no longer as profitable to make certain things overseas and ship them here for sale here.

There many jobs that wont come back, this even I know, but it seems many of the jobs coming back are manufacturing jobs. Jobs that pay decent wages. Jobs that pay enough to have a disposable income to buy other things, therefor creating demand.

    I think that all this discussion about the economy is like how doctors cannot agree on treatment plans and causes for diseases.

    Ever so many years, they change course. For someone who has worked for a manufacturer in the US for over 20 years, I can tell you that the Chinese have stolen more business products than Carter has pills.

    The logistics of getting product here from China can be a nightmare especially if there is a delay in shipping. Ironically, they come back to us for "fill-in" orders to tide them over until the boat comes in. But they still continue to purchase product from uncertain resources because it is cheaper to produce.

    We get hammered with raw material price increases each year and domestic shipping costs.

    The job killer is having to compete with someone who has no scruples about material content or quality. So if you read something, ask someone who is in the business if this indeed is really happening or is a "theory".

    We can all agree that the elephant is gray in color, but what we cannot agree upon is if the elephant is in the room or an illusion.

    Maybe, I should say that a little differently. Theories abound, but the proof is in the pudding. As long as business have to shoulder costs of materials and regulations, it ties up any expansion for job creation.

    USA Today has not mentioned once anything relevant about the "Fast and Furious" issues. I wonder when that will happen. I read both Fox and USA Today to make some comparisons.

    Read the comments on the stories in USA Today, they sure have changed since 2008 in their view of Obama and his policies.

    We all want what is good for America, but how to get the elephant from the drawing board to actually become real has not happened. We see lots of talk, but not much action from either side.

    There are those small businesses that have diversified with each change in demand for product over the past 20 years. They have been barely able to keep their head above water, but still continue to employ 20 or more employees.

    The ones who don't close their doors.

  • I know that some companies outsource to China in order to take advantage of the time zones differences. While people are sleeping in the United States, China workers can continue work and while the Chinese workers are sleeping the United States people can take over the work.

    I understand that there are cultural and language difficulties that have to be overcome but in some cases this is a workable solution.
