  • It really is the little things like giving up your place in line. Smiling at the clerks in the store, taking overexcited children so that a parent can rest for a few minutes.

The kids and I used to follow our hearts and give money or gloves to homeless people that we saw outside of the convenience stores. Or if you are going in for a hot cup of coffee, getting an extra one for them and a hot breakfast sandwich.

Sometimes it is just praying for people or giving them a hug.

I feel a little down, but really I have many blessings and they keep me going every day. I don't give in. Just the edge of sadness in the moments that I am not busy. Dad loved Christmas so and I miss him more at this time of year.

So I guess follow your heart and look around, you will be surprised as what can be done with the little things.

  • Thank you Joe. I must give God the credit for this one. He placed the subject into my mind and heart yesterday.

Great stuff as always, Bonnie! I envy your creativity and style. I did a lot of creative writing in my early years, but certainly struggle with it now.

Wishing you and yours a joyous Christmas season.
