Oh My It's May Again!
Growing up, May Day was a hit and miss event for me. But I always tried to find a wild-flower or two to take home to Mom.
Even when I was in high school, it was fun to lay the flowers on the doorstep and knock and run away.
Lots of Great Things happened to me in the Month of May. I graduated 35 years ago on Friday the 13th. My Daughter, Kelly was born 30 years ago. My oldest friend, Glenna will celebrate her birthday.
Of course, there is also Mother's Day. I will blog on that later.
And there is the old adage: April Showers bring May Flowers. Mmmm! Just breathe in the wonderful fragrance of the Lilacs, Irises and Peonies. And don't forget the roses either!
Life seems to have a fresh outlook in the Month of May. Summer events are planned, vacations are booked and weddings are anticipated.
And then there is the wonderful smell of sagebrush. Nothing can match that perfume! I still miss it when it rains here in Missouri.
One event, that we should all try to take a moment to observe this week is the National Day of Prayer. Prayer changes things. Our hearts need to be changed and our nation needs to be healed.
I feel so blessed to be an American. No matter how grim life can be, keep in mind that even a flower can grow in the desert.
Have a great week everyone!
