Good Thoughts About Life In General
These are just a few scattered thoughts and events that I wanted to share.
A premature baby was found alive after being in a coffin for twelve hours. She had been pronounced dead. Her mother insisted on holding her and saying her goodbyes. The miracle of the moment is that the baby was still breathing. Her welcome into the world has been a little cold, but she survived.
Grandkids can put life into perspective for you on any given day. The other night, Nathaniel confessed to me that the loose vacuum cleaner hose was "probably his fault".
Every day a blessing comes along to us. We might not recognize it at the time of its appearance, but we are continually blessed beyond measure in the country.
My blessings have always been mixed. The challenges in life sometimes cloud the joy that is just waiting around the corner for you.
As I have said before; "The Slightest Deed Meets The Sorest Need.
It may be Boy Scouts putting out flags to honor our fallen, or a respectful salute as a fallen soldier comes home to their final resting place.
Or it may be a grandmother who takes a fussy baby so that a young mother can get some rest.
A secret Santa who gives a family $100.00 so that they can buy Christmas gifts for their children.
A perfect stranger who hugs you and tells you that you matter to God.
Sharing your lap with a dog, cat and two grandchildren.
My grandchildren and I have a tradition. We squeeze as much love into our hugs as we possibly can. Nathaniel squeezes love over the telephone to my mother. He loves his Grandma Betty.
Life is Good if you can make a baby smile.
We are not easily defeated as long as there is one person willing to pray.
Find your place in this crazy world and make a difference.
Be Kind. Smile. Share.
Start over if you take the wrong road. (It is allowed). Keep your accounts with God short and your benevolence secret.
Families are important. If you don't have one-adopt someone who needs a friend.
It might seem as though we are too far behind to win the game, but I have been told from an impeccable source who really wins in the end.
