How to NOT “play their game”

Like most other bloggers, I get frustrated with the "other side".  My intent.......whether old cars, guns, or politics, is to get my point across, and the way to NEVER get that accomplished is to "name-call"

It doesn't matter how brilliant your post might be, or how factual.......as soon as you direct a "stupid", "ignorant", "moron" toward one of the "posters" PERSONALLY....you just lost your audience.

When YOU get called a derogatory name, your first impulse is to "fire back", and that's an honest, human reaction, but it solves nothing.

For ME anyway, if I feel I've made my point(s) in a blog, I will have REACHED the people I've needed to reach, so a few "loose screws" out there aren't worth the time to get into that proverbial "wrestling match with the pig"-----------the one where you BOTH get dirty, and the pig likes it.

There's a lot of frustration with it, though.  As all of you who  AUTHOR a blog know............WE are at a certain disadvantage,  because while WE have to identify ourselves by name,  the "commenters" do NOT.  There are times you'd like to jump through your computer screen and strangle some of these "mindless idiots" (as YOU see them)...........but you don't know who they are.

And they KNOW it, so of course they sometimes USE that anonymous "safety zone" and "blog name' to hide behind.

You often have to use restraint you never knew you had, because if you let the garbage get to you, it can keep you wound up all day,  ticked-off-----------and the SORRY part of it, is that the yo-yo who's aggravating you just goes on about his business...........doesn't bother HIM/HER, in the least!................and here YOU are, walking around upset the rest of the day.

And the "rest of YOUR day"-----doesn't belong to that jerk, it belongs to YOU!

Not easy to do, but I've been learning to target my messages.  If you're RIGHT about something, and you KNOW you're right.......the people who MATTER, will know it too.  The "idiots" in your blog world don't matter.

When they resort to the "name-calling crap", I've finally reached a point where I just put 'em on "DISREGARD".......and when they figure out that you won't PLAY with them........they just go off and do something else, rather then talk to THEMSELVES.

"ATTACKS"-------there are two kinds........personal and IM-personal.

"IM-PERSONAL"----------"Senator Joe Blow is an ignorant dirtbag!"

"PERSONAL"------------"YOU are an ignorant dirtbag for supporting Joe Blow.

.............bloggers need to know the difference before whining and crying.

I go after this administration all the time.  TOUGH!  The day I go after one of YOU---------THAT'S "personal" and you can take it that way.

There are people in this world who seem to have been BORN just to argue.   So MY suggestion, is, if you don't want to "wind yourself up" playing their little "game".....you just bypass THEIR comment and respond to who YOU want to...............Hey................it's YOUR BLOG!  YOU get to decide who you want to respond to, if anyone.

It took me awhile MYSELF to figure that out, and I actually QUIT once, as some of you know.  Took a pretty good break from it, before I knew I had to get back into it.

This is my 316th blog since coming back, and I knew when I "re-started", that I was going to have to keep my cool, to avoid being tossed off.   With the condition this country is in right now.......it's more important to ME, to get my message across to the right people------than to get KICKED OFF, by getting "TOO heated" in an exchange with some clown who's probably destined to be a fool all of his life ANYWAY.  I will most likely quit for GOOD sometime this year, depending on what goes down and when......but I figure to quit on MY terms, not because of a "pig match."

You learn to PICK your battles, when you have the option. 

The OTHER thing every blogger NEEDS to be aware of, is that NO internet is secure......and this is HUGE, (or it CAN be.........)

Once you "post" something, it's out there in cyberspace.  Our tax dollars are PAYING for government agents to MONITOR these systems....especially under THIS government that MUST know that folks are "gearing up" for SOMETHING.  A lot of us in certain circles know a lot of things the Feds would LIKE to know, so if you're ONE of these people, you REALLY have to guard against typing up something they can haul you in for, and use against you..........because as you might summize.........in the "heat of battle", men often forget where their best interests lie.

So the more you know..........the less you'd better SAY.......in some cases.   And PROOF-READ before you post.  If it's your OWN blog, you can always go back and re-edit.  If you just "comment" on someone ELSE's blog........once you post--------it's THERE!
