......Says Popeye the Sailor, and Bazookaman too. As we go through these various blogs, a lot of different opinions pop up from time to time, and just so there's no further confusion, I'm gonna lay out, as briefly as I can (which WOULD be an accomplishment for ME), what I'm all about, so some of you guys out there know where I'm coming from. A few of you out there already do.

First and foremost I'm an AMERICAN and a kid from the 50's. Our country comes FIRST, before the rest of this planet. Anybody who doesn't like or understand that, is free to leave. Those who desire Canadian-style healthcare or a European lifestyle in general----MOVE. I don't want OUR Constitution tampered with. It was bought at too high of a price. Go ahead and leave---you won't be missed.

There was some goofball from California up at Wal-Mart complaining to my wife that they had a better home & garden selection back in Stockton, California. I told her that if it had been ME, I'd have told him to take his "California butt" BACK to Stockton and don't let the door hit him on his way out!

I grew up in the "Roy Rogers/Gene Autry" era where the good guys won, and the bad guys were HUNG---not "reasoned around" or "made allowances for." I still believe in that.

I am very "black & white" and do not have that proverbial "gray area" of "compromise" a lot of people think I should have. I don't believe anything is "SORT of ok." It's either right or it's wrong. Period.

I'm a hardcore right winger, although I've never been a straight-ticket voter.......which I've always considered to be a stupid decision. Screw the "party"---vote for the individual YOU think will do the best job.

I'm a gun owner because I CAN be. Don't lecture me on the deaths caused by firearms, while you stand there puffing on your Camels, killing your liver with booze, then getting into your car drunk as a skunk and heading down the road.

I was getting a cup of coffee one evening, and as I turned to walk out the door, some dude who'd been standing behind me, gestured to my holstered revolver that I was openly carrying and said, "I don't like guns." I stopped, looked him dead in the eye and replied...."Well, DON'T BUY ONE!"

Idiot.

My "B.S. Tolerance Level" is nowhere near what it once was, and it never WAS that high to begin with. I find as I get older, I care less and less about what "society thinks"..........just like my grandfather.......and YOUR GRANDFATHER too. At 63----I'M the only one I have to impress.

If you're an Obama supporter, I don't support your president. Not because he's black, but because of his liberal agenda, so go play that "racist card" somewhere else. I don't call him "YOUR president" out of some kind of dis-repect, because BUSH wasn't "my" president either. Ronald Reagan was MY president, and I haven't had one since.

Peace through Strength-------for the eight years the man was in there, nobody used our flag for a doormat. I'll always believe a lot of what Reagan was, was his age itself. At 69 when he entered office.......HIS "B.S. Tolerance Level" wasn't what IT used to be either.

I hate communism and anything that even LOOKS like it, but one DOES have to give the Soviets their "due".........they DO command respect. They are hard people and terrorists do not fly airliners into THEIR buildings, threaten the Kremlin or anything else.........because simply, the "Ruskies" don't PUT UP with this silly crap. They AREN'T "politically correct."

There WAS a bombing of one of their official buildings years ago. The KGB not only hunted down and exterminated the bad guys, but before they DID, they tortured information out of them, and then killed the FAMILES of these pukes. That was THAT, and nothing further ensued. Everybody KNOWS not to screw with them!

Should we be like THEM? No, but security-wise, we SHOULD be as tough as WE once were. We USED to execute spies like the Rosenthals.---but we're just a bunch of "appeasing, accomodating, apologizing, catering, politically-correct DIPLOMATS" today------and it's COSTING us.

I believe in PROTECTING our borders, not attacking OUR OWN STATES for it................I realize that's a stupid concept in 2011, but I believe in it anyway.

I believe in balanced parenthood. Love the kids, reward them for good behavior, and warm the seats of their pants when they DON'T mind. As a kid on the "Hill", I earned every butt-warming I ever got. By TODAY'S pinko standards, my Mom & Dad would have probably ended up in San Quentin for merely spanking one of us---------and that's what most of these little un-checked, un-ruly little brats need-------and you see them EVERYDAY in any department store, working their way into the future jailbird system, while "mommy & daddy" try to "compromise and reason" with them.

"WE are the parents....YOU are the child", that's how it's SUPPOSED to work.

I'm sick of being systematically robbed. I want my tax dollars ACCOUNTED for........and I want to see a day where there's not a SINGLE FACE in WASHINGTON that I recognize. I'm convinced that if God decided to give the world an enema, Washington D.C. is where he'd stick the hose!

I cannot STAND having to press "ONE" for English.......then when you DO get somebody......THEY dont speak it worth a hoot, and you STILL have to ask for THEIR supervisor.

A LOT of things that people are willing to just roll over and accept today..........are NOT "ok" with me. I'm a "fifties kid" and do not comprehend ANY PART of this mongaloid 21st century perversion. I will DIE a "fifties kid"......and proudly.

Illegals should be DEPORTED......not REWARDED. You shouldn't have to be a Republican to figure that out.......just a taxpayer with your eyes open.

Veterans' pensions shouldn't be taxed. If you don't understand THAT.......YOU give YOUR private life up and go fight in the next one. The rest of us won't mind.

I'm a MARINE. And I'm PROUD of it. I might be a little more vocal about it than others......but maybe I'm just a little prouder than others. Not ALL of us were grunts.......some were Air Wing types, radar types, supply or admin types.

Those of us in the old line units who went nose-to-nose in the bush with "Charlie", see things from a whole different perspective, than a guy turning wrenches on a Phantom. I'm a Marine, and an old Marine with an attitude. If someone has a problem with that, I'm not at all hard to find in this town. I can be your best friend or your worst nightmare. You choose.

If revolt becomes necessary in this country, as I believe it eventually will, I hope to live long enough to partake in it. It would be the first time in my life that I actually DID get to fight for OUR country. THEN when the cashier says "thanks for your service", it actually WILL mean something.

I love my '56 Oldsmobile. If the EPA DOESN'T, they can "kiss it."

Wanna drink?----drink

Wanna do drugs?-----go for it (unless I catch ya trying to "sell" to schoolkids, which wouldn't be good 'cause I don't dial "911")

And if I wanna drive vintage "gas guzzlers" and "carry a little iron", that's MY business, not anyone else's........so if we're all just polite, not infringe upon one-another, everyone should get along just fine. You don't blow cigarette smoke in my face or try to sell drugs to one of my grand daughters, and I won't "whiz" anything in YOUR direction. We don't violate each other's rights, and everything's cool.

Wanna debate on these blogs? I'm always glad to exchange points of view. "When the terms "moron", "Ignorant", "Racist" and all these other quaint quotes come up------it doesn't matter how many CREDIBLE things you might have to say AFTER that........I just "changed the channel", and you're talking to yourself!

I don't play this "Your mama wears combat boots" crap.

Well, there are some other things, but that's basically where I stand. I WILL mention one last thing here, though------and I don't really expect to see anything like this in Mountain Home-------just a quiet, solemn word to the wise......

If I EVER.......hear of a funeral going on here in town, for one of our active duty personnel killed in action, and a bunch of these low-life scumbags show up to protest it, they'd best pray to God that the cops get there before I do. That's all I'm gonna publicly say on that.

Zook I don't know why you don't join the American Legion Honor Guard? They can always use another to do the gun salute at veterans funerals.

Their usually done in the mornings... Some early afternoons. They do them not just in Mtn Home. Sometimes Glens Ferry, up in the mtns, (not very often) and at the veterans cemetery in Boise. Pat keeps pretty busy with them. He did one yesterday and last week.

Bazooka and CJW, you guys are not alone wanting to stand up against any protestor at a Vets Funeral. Gots no time for that kind of nonsense, if they try it here I will be there and surely alot more Vets also.

Zook If you join and they call you and you can't make it they understand. You don't have to attend everyone.

Also if any protesters were to show up before you guys even got there, the Veterans that are there along with the honor guard, as well with those that are stationed at the base will already have it under control. Then there is law enforcement that are already ready and they will come in numbers. So there is no worry Relax !

I am not worried about protestors showing up for a Vet's Funeral here, as can already be seen wouldn't be a smart move. Between the Freedom Riders, Retired Vets, Active duty that show for the Funerals wouldn't take long to find out this town respects its fallen Vets and the force that would show, not a smart move. I have No Problem standing there showing my respect armed and loaded and it would not be blanks eithers. I take being armed and someone protestors again Vets I take seriouly. Like I was taught from the day I was allowed to care a firearm, don't point it unless you are going to use it. Same goes for trying to break into my home, try it and see if you walk out, just not going to happen, what would greet a crime dummie, they wouldn't like, makes a pretty big hole LOL.

DONE A FEW OF THOSE MYSELF.....KINDA GETS TO YOU......people park there parents there and forget about them.....out of sight out of mind.......they do the same with the kids.....years back we use to take all the kids on the block to black sands,every sunday. IT was great to see them just play.Parents never said thanks or here is some hotdogs nothing. We didnt care, but how do people do that???????? Anyhow hope you had a good one .....

My view is they can invite anyone they want to recite at the WH. decency would say don't invite someone who is saying burn Bush in his rants. after all he was president just before you got there. think maybe they should spent a little more time figuring out how to cut spending. we are borrowing 40 percent of what we spend? gas prices are going through the roof. foods prices are sky high. housing prices are crashing. spending billions and killing our young in a never ending war.i bet they are trying to figure out a new way to tax those of us who still work. bet they are. and Mtn Homer I hope they fail miserably in getting these illegals documented legal so they can vote.

RETALIATION WAS IN THE CARDS NO MATTER WHAT WE DID.......WE DIDNT DO THE RESPECT THING FOR HIS FOLLOWERS. We did it for the rest of the world to include ourselves.....THAT IS WHO WE ARE.

I would say if we as people didnt think he was dead the retaliation is saying he is.Funny thing we havnt heard to much from those who just had to see the photos ,whats up with that?????? I guess they just needed feathers in there cap.

Notice that the arab world is not sheding any tears about this death,to me that says a lot.so maybe people can stop painting them with a broad brush,could be they didnt like him either,could be that the taliban.al quida's time has come and gone ,we shall see.

So let us now turn inward and take care of our own,BRING OUR KIDS HOME..........

HEWBET......I dont know wether you noticed but zook znd i have been saying that for months........there seems to be a thing going on were they are trying to get all they can thru deception before we lower the boom......the proposal's they put forth usually dont do anything for anyone and definetly not for the nation.When you get past the sound bites there is nothing there,and the lobbyist are having a field day.

The Republicans backed down on the Obama care, except for the part all Americans have to have insurance. Boehner put in place a mandate against that part.

POINT.......I HATE TO ADMITE IT BUT I DON'T THINK THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TOOK HIS CANDIDACY SERIOUS UNTIL THEY REALIZED HE WAS SERIOUS.......THAT IS NOT AND EXSCUSE.THAT COMMENT IS BASED ON KEY DEMS COMMENTS ABOUT HIM.....THEY WERE NOT VERY NICE AND IN SOME CASES VERY BIGOTED......I THINK HE KNEW,I DONT THINK HE KNEW TO WHAT EXTENT.......Hes a teacher by trade. We never stop doing that,it's a curse in some respects believe me,my wife reminds me all the time.......so i get it, but a lot of people resent it.He is not doing anything any other president hasnt done.........
