Huh? Obama fulfilled promise?
Quote from James Bovard
"To blindly trust government is to automatically vest it with excessive power. To distrust government is simply to trust humanity - to trust in the ability of average people to peacefully, productively coexist without some official policing their every move. The State is merely another human institution - less creative than Microsoft, less reliable than Federal Express, less responsible than the average farmer husbanding his land, and less prudent than the average citizen spending his own paycheck." Obama stated in his speech concerning extending the "Bush" tax cuts "My number one priority was to do what's right for the American people, for jobs and for growth." He wants to make sure "that tens of thousands of taxpayer's paychecks won't shrink just because the people in Washington are busy trying to score political points. Because of this, American middle class will not see a tax increase just like I promised." (yeah, a campaign promise honored?) Well, it may seem that he is doing as he promised, but it should be noted that it is not Obama's tax cuts but just an extension of Bush's tax cuts. He didn't make a better tax plan Obama spent the majority of his time telling the country what a horrible President that Bush was. He would normally speak out against anything connected to Bush just because he hates him and his Adminitration. It was ridiculous how obvious it was! Then our leader spent more time not only trashing the past, but he publically apologized to other nations for our behavior. What a farce! Don't get me wrong! I am glad for the people. Thank goodness this was resolved for another 2 years.
