  • Links, is that all you can do? I have never seen or heard of what that link talks about but thanks for sharing.

    Kim:

That's kinda rude, don't ya think? To put a guy down for using links?

I mean there has been a lot of what you've written/or not, that was directly taken from other articles but presented as your own words. I think it's called plagiarism?

With the coming of the computer age it is very easy to look up whole paragraphs and such and find who wrote them first. It's not like the old days when kids could get away with gleaning whole chapters and verse and get away with it.

So, before you get on people for providing links you should think about that.

    Defend yourself.

Yeah but some bloggers are currupted by politicians and media spokes-persons. How do your rectify that?

  • Actually, when I write something taken from another article, I put it as a quote. I will state who said it or wrote it. As you can see in this blog, I did quote someone, gave credit to that person and where she works. Eveything else is my own writing. I try to be very careful and make sure to write my interpretation and give credit if I write the words of another. That is not plagerism.

And to Mr Dave Thompson, if I offended you by my statement about your links, please forgive me. However, I seriously doubt he was offended because rudeness would be if I attacked him personally about the link. I don't think that I did that. If I did, then I think that Mr Dave should address it.

Thanks, censored, but I am unscathed. I'm just throwing the links out there for others to consider, just to provide us an opportunity to view complex issues from different angles. Although I may agree with some or all of the content of those links, I'm not presenting them as my own view, nor am I seeking validation of the content of those links.

I am astonished and frustrated at the degree of uncompromising, fearful attitudes evident within the (ugh!) "blogosphere", and this, coupled with inconsistencies in the opinions expressed by some bloggers, has resulted in my intemperate outbursts toward others on the blog. So, I can understand why some would be anxious to lash out at me now and then.

No harm, so no foul, Kim.

    Kim:

Your right. I shouldn't have accused you of plagiarism. It just seems after visiting this blog and other right leaning blogs that your words mirror very closely to what others have written. And there was some slight frustration when you talked of Daves links when so many others on here have used links to justify their stances on social issues, on your side of the discussion. Yet you left them/your side alone. I blame my outburst on a lack of sleep and human hypocrisy.

    All humans.

I just need to take my shot-gun for a walk to relieve the tension.

  • Thank you, Censored. You didn't have to take the the time to respond to me and you did. I am grateful. In my defense, I read a lot of stuff and cross-check stuff like a friggin journalist getting paid for it but it is a responsibility I accept when I am going to write about something. I try to always give credit where credit is due if I write specifically what another said. If I have omitted that, then I plead mercy with a tired-brain and cross-eyed from researching.
