I went on a hike and this is what I found
I am a budding herbalist and have been hiking through tall grasses high and low to take pictures of plants 'weeds" and to identify them for the purpose of building up a functional local herbal apothecary. I would like to share some photos and a few comments of my excursions whomever shares my enthusiasm for the outdoors.

The leaves (as well as the bark and the blossoms) of the elder have been regarded by herbalists for their healing properties.
You will find the leaves as ingredients in traditional ointments to aid the body to recover from a trauma to the skin.

containing light, spongy pith, with a bark that is light grey and corky externally.
The leaves are opposite, deep green and smooth. Creamy-white, flat-topped masses of
