Top 10 Worst Movies of 2009 (6-10)
(Before I begin, I just you want all to know this will be my final regular week for the Reel Revue, hopefully the blog will continue and I'll be able to still write for you guys, if not it's been fun)
10. G-Force
Of all the cartoons, and kid's movies I saw this year, G-Force ranked at the bottom of the list. It's a shame with such a big cast including Nicolas Cage and cameos from Steve Buscemi and Jon Favreau couldn't deliver a better film.
9. Year One
Two great comedic actors like Jack Black and Michael Cera would fit in any other buddy type comedy, a movie that involves the stone age, not so much, as it was more silly and corny than funny.
8. Push
A sci-fi movie loaded in chaotic calamity, featuring a tough psychic Dakota Fanning, yeah I said Dakota Fanning who teams with Chris Evans (Cellular) and Camilla Belle (When A Stranger Calls) to stop a government agency led by Djimon Hounsou in collecting all the humans with special telekinetic powers. That might not have been the full story, but this was a movie was such a drag it doesn't matter.
7. Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
Ben Stiller has had some great films, over the years like Dodgeball and Zoolander, granted the first Night at the Museum was okay, but not good enough to warrant a sequel. The additions to the cast, Amy Adams, Jonah Hill and Hank Arazia didn't help this train wreck, for big name actors like Stiller, Owen Wilson and Robin Williams, this was a clear "paycheck" movie.
6. Extract
Mike Judge is responsible for some of the most popular cartoons and films in pop culture including Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill and Office Space.
With Extract, it should be considered a mega disappointment, as you get lost on whether or not this movie was a comedy or drama. The cast consisted of such good comedic actors, and yet no one delivered in this movie not even Ben Affleck whose character seemed like a watered down version of James Franco's character in "Pineapple Express."
