Push
After seeing this film, I wanted to Push myself out of the theater.
In Push, Chris Evans (Human Torch in Fantastic Four) and Dakota Fanning play two young Americans with telekinetics and clairevoyant abilities who are on the run from Division, a government agency established to track them down, the group is led by Djimon Hwonsu.
Evans and Fanning team up to find an escaped girl, Kira played by Camilla Belle(When A Stranger Calls), who was used as a test subject by Division. While on the run, it is discovered that Kira is in possession of a drug, that would bring an end to Division.
Overall, this movie had it's moments, but the story left a lot of holes, instead of naming all the various groups of characters that have different powers, why not come up with how these kids got their powers.
Fanning playing a tough girl in several action sequences, proved highly non believable, almost as unreal as Mila Kunis (That 70's Show) playing a tough chick in the 2008 flop "Max Payne."
This movie was a grave disappointment and strong actors like Evans and two Academy Award nominees Hwonsu and Fanning were put to waste.
Next Time on Reel Revue will be my review for the first big movie of 2009 is Watchmen.
Note-Well Reel Revue fans, I am off to tech school in Biloxi, MS. But fear not, I will hopefully be able to see some movies in Biloxi, and send you guys reviews. I will be back in April.
