Get Smart

The 1970's classic TV show, "Get Smart", is back with this 2008 remake. Steve Carell reprises the role of Maxwell Smart made famous by the late Don Adams.

In this remake, Carell plays an analyst and agent in training for Control, a secret U.S. government spy agency.

When Control is attacked and all of the identities of Control agents are compromised, the Chief (played by Academy Award winner Alan Arkin), promotes Carell and sends him on a mission to stop their evil crime nemesis, KAOS with his more experienced and competent partner Agent 99, played by Anne Hathaway (On a side note, who would have thought the girl from Princess Diaries, turned out to be a fox).

Joining the cast in this remake is Dwayne Johnson (or the Rock to WWE fans) as Agent 23 and I won't give it away but look for a cameo from a certain Ghostbuster.

Overall, the movie was good, it definitely lived up to the original. Carell, the perfect fit for Maxwell Smart, was hilarious and Hathaway was sharp and sexy as 99.
