NFL Offseason Moves 2
Since Albert Haynesworth move to the Redskins, the off season moves have continued. Here is a breakdown:
Terrell Owens (Cowboys to Bills): In my view, I think TO and his agent Drew Rosenhaus took the first offer that came, and Buffalo made the first call for one year at $6.5 million dollars. Who will this benefit, Lee Evans. What will those do for the team in the future, who knows?
TJ Houshmanzadeh (Bengals to Seahawks): TJ may be eone of many Bengals that deserved to leave to what is now a sinking ship; for the last few years Houshmanzadeh has shown signs of potential superstar, while playing along side Chad Joh, oh I'm sorry, Ochocinco. The only question I have is the Seahawks, of all teams the Seahawks, well hopefully Hasselbeck is back at 100% along with their mash unit of receivers like Deion Branch.
As a 49 er fan, I hope this move doesn't put Seattle over the Niners in the NFC West.
Torry Holt (Rams to Jaguars): Sure Holt is getting older, but I think he needed a new place to play and Jacksonville who's been weak for receivers for years maybe has a place to resurrect his career. Quarterback David Garrard who has racked some of the best numbers in the NFL since he was named the starter of the Jaguars, has got to be pleased knowing he has a reliable receiver to throw to, unlike Reggie Williams or Matt Jones.
Jay Cutler (Broncos to Bears): This year's biggest off season drama came to a close when Jay Cutler, a pro-bowler for Denver last year was traded to the Bears for their resurgent starter Kyle Orton. This will truly be a move to put the Bears back on the NFC playoff map.
Unsigned Free Agents
Chad Ochocinco-If there is any receiver with a bigger ego and team compatibility issues, please tell me. Who honestly in their right mind, would change their name legally to 85 or Ochocinco. But the Bengals need to rebuild and finally cut the chord with Johnson, where would he go, well how about Dallas, since losing TO and their receiving corps is limited down to Roy Williams, Patrick Crayton and Miles Austin.
Marvin Harrison-Maybe he's just getting older and not producing, but for the life of me I can't believe that no team has made a push for Harrison, next to Jerry Rice he is definitely one of the best wide receivers in NFL History. What team would he serve the best on, how about Philadelphia?
McNabb would sign his extension a whole lot quicker if they got someone like Harrison or Anquan Boldin.
Anquan Boldin-Talk about unhappy, Boldin has hated his place with the Cardinals since the Super Bowl, why the Cards have not let him go yet is weird, they still have one of the best receivers in the NFL in Larry Fitzgerald who has come off being the named the MVP of both the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl.
Michael Vick-Sure he is not reinstated just yet, but I got a feeling, a hunch if you will, knowing the fact that Jerry Jones seems to bring in the players with troubled pasts like Pacman Jones, Tank Williams and Terrell Owens. What will stop Jones from going after Vick if Romo continues to blunder through the playoffs?
