Final Keesler Entry (I Passed)
Well I'm back in Mountain Home, last Wednesday I passed my performance test, quite easily I might add. The instructor was really nice, not as strict as I expected. When I had errors, I was able to correct them on my own and they didn't count towards my performance test.
The next day, I took my block test, and oddly I wasn't nervous, I knew the ramifications for failing and as far as studying I really didn't study that heavily, but in the end I passed with a 90%.
The funny part of the day, was when I found out my blues suit was missing the new US emblems located at the collar of the jacket, so immediately following the test I went to the BX to purchase the emblems, then back at class I put them on my jacket.
I was part of a class that marked a first for my instructor, all 12 students passed the course without any failures.
The day I left was kinda hectic, my taxi was about fifteen minutes late picking me up, then at the airport, the Delta terminal attendants told everyone they had to check in electronically before turning in their bags.
Apparently, there is a selection for military when your checking bags, that there is no charge, I was in a rush and couldn't find it so I had to pay an additional $165 for the three bags I put on the plane.
I had a great time in Biloxi, saw a lot of movies, met alot of people, it was a whole lot of fun, but I did miss the news paper grind and was looking forward to heading back to Idaho.
I will miss living next door to the Chow Hall and Free Laundry, yes FREE LAUNDRY.
I want to wish all the best to my classmates: TSGT Kennedy, TSGT Allen, SSGT Wallace, SrA Franklin, SrA Strong, A1C Fellers, A1C Sebastian (SANITIZE!!!!), AB Hebert, SrA Kutz, SSGT Lynn and Amn Burge.
