Worst Movies of 2008 (6-10)

For the next two weeks I will be counting down the ten worst movies of 2008, and on Reel Revue I will be counting down the ten best movies of 2008.

6. Righteous Kill

Sure Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro, are two of the most legendary actors of all time, but maybe they should have picked a better movie for a reunion.

7. The Tale of Despereaux

I just seen this movie on my vacation, you'd think with an all-star cast, like Matthew Broderick, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver would result in a great film, but after seeing animated hits like Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda, this movie was vaguely entertaining and quite mundane.

8. Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull

This does hurt to write, I was a big fan of The Last Crusade, I thought the chemistry in that movie between Connery and Ford on screen was remarkable. Now, fast forward 20 years, with Crystal Skull, and this just didn't live up to any of my expectations and personally I think the series was better off retired after The Last Crusade.

9. Wanted

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good shoot em up movie, every now and then, but this movie was way way way over the top with special effects. Basically, too much special effects and not enough movie.

10. Eagle Eye

With this movie, I felt people were going to really love it or really hate it, for me seeing a movie where a computer is the lead villain and again Shia Lebeouf, who some say is the next Tom Hanks, turns in a weak performance and is only saved in the film by the performance of Michelle Monagahan.
